The Nederburg Duet Wine is a medium-bodied red wine with the infused character of oak, velvety tannins, and red fruity flavors. It is ruby red and has notes of red cherries and summer berries with hints of oak and spice. The Duet wine, as the name implies, is a blend of two grapes – the Shiraz which makes up 60% of the blend and the Pinotage which makes up 40% of the blend.
The grapes were harvested at 24°C by machine and hand. The cool-fermentation process took place in tanks of stainless steel that are temperature controlled (25°C to 28°C) for about two weeks. The wine was then matured for four months with American and French oak.
