Produced in Scotland by Kensington Distillers and Vintners, John Bannermans Red Seal is a rich and delightful blended scotch whiskey. Bannermans is one of the few remaining independently-owned blended Scotch Whiskies and is produced just outside of Edinburgh, Scotland.
This excellent scotch is produced from a blend of exceptional 5-6-year-old malt whiskies (while the legal limit is 3 years and older). This gives the whisky a bolder, more complex flavour than other blends and helps to create its wonderfully smooth, rich character.
Bannermans Red Seal is made using a very slow distillation process, ensuring as much copper contact as possible, which produces beautifully fruity flavours. Its rich, smooth character is also a result of maturation using a higher proportion of Spanish sherry casks, balanced with ex-bourbon casks.
This premium blended scotch comes in a short, thick bottle with a red seal at the cap. The design is unique with the red engravement on the bottle. Bannermans is an ancient Scottish name: the ‘banner man’ was the Kings standard-bearer, chosen for his strength and boldness, who had the honour of carrying his flag into war.
