The Matsui – Mizunara Cask – 70CL

The Matsui Mizunara Cask 70cl is a fine single malt whisky from one of Japan’s newest and finest whisky producers, Matsui. Located in the Tottori Prefecture, Northwest of Kyoto, and Northeast of Hiroshima, on the shore of the Sea of Japan, Matsui Shuzo was founded in 1910 as both a Sake brewery and Shōchū distillery which resides in the foothills of Mount Daisen.

Over a century later, Matsui, the owners of the Kurayoshi (which means “City of Water and Green”) distillery came into the whisky scene in 2019 with several luxurious product offerings. However, this non-age-statement Matsui Mizunara Cask expression has been making waves and has become the brand’s flagship liquor.
