Glenfiddich Grand Cru 23 Year Old is the first in the Grand range released by the brand. It is a single malt Scotch whisky that has aged for 23 years in a combination of American and European oak before it finishes for up to 6 months in selected cuvée wine casks. These French oak wine casks formerly held fermenting wine which would ultimately become Champagne and they give the Glenfiddich 23 its trademark velvet texture and opulent finish.
Glenfiddich 23 Year Old is a remarkably rich whisky with intense flavours. It is the only Glenfiddich Single Malt to undergo initial aging in American and European oak casks before being moved over to rare French cuvée oak casks. This is where it gets its beautiful oily, waxy mouthfeel and which makes it just perfect for celebrating special occasions.
