The name Casillero del Diablo which translates to The Devil’s Cellar was born from a rumor which the founder of Viña Concha y Toro started when he set aside a small selection of his best wines and found out that some of them were getting stolen, to protect them. Rumour had it that the Devil lived in his cellar, hence the name. Made from the sensational red wine grapes of Chile, the Casillero del Diablo Red Blend has an intense colour of dark and deep purple and on the nose is ripe, a bit spicy, packed with black cherry, and with a touch of bitter chocolate. On the palate, you will notice notes of dark plums, a good balance, velvety texture, and firm, round tannins.
