The Indian and Atlantic oceans converge off the Southern Coast of Africa and this creates a great climate for grapes to be grown. Two Oceans wines are named after these two oceans. The impact of their convergence is profound as it affects the climate and islands which create a special set of conditions, making for a significant positive influence on the vineyards there. Vineyards are farmed considering the principles of eco-sustainability and the Two Oceans wines carry the traceable sustainability seal that ensures product integrity from the vineyards to the final pack. This brand is exported to over one hundred countries around the world and is the leading South African wine brand in Canada and Sweden.
Two Oceans Sauvignon Blanc is fresh, elegant, and crisp with tastes of green fig, passion fruit, green apple, sweet melon flavor, gooseberry, and tropical fruits. It has a pale straw color with scents of fresh lemon, gooseberry, and pink grapefruit.
The Sauvignon Blanc white wine grapes were obtained from vineyards in the Paarl, Worcester, Stellenbosch, and Robertson regions in South Africa. The vines were grown in soils with excellent drainage and located about 200m above sea level. The clean juice from the crushed fruit was fermented at 13 degrees celsius to 16 degrees celsius with an assortment of yeast strains, to provide a good range of flavors.
Food pairing suggestions: It is amazing when sipped alone and excellent when taken with poultry dishes, fish, and pasta. Shellfish, goat cheese and vegetarian also pair well with the Two Oceans Sauvignon Blanc.
